Do you believe in dragons?
Sammy Rambles is given a dragon egg on his first day at his new school, Dragamas School for Dragon Charming.
The egg hatches into a dragon called Kyrillan and Sammy learns to look after his new pet.
He makes new friends, a girl with bright green hair called Dixie Deane and Darius Murphy, a boy with unusual parents.
Things are going well for Sammy Rambles, until he learns of a dark fate hanging over the school.
An enemy, known only as the “Shape” want to destroy all of the dragons and close the school. It is up to Sammy and his friends to try and stop them.

Dragonball is the sport played by Sammy Rambles and his friends in the books.
It’s a multi-skill sport where players use their hands and feet to kick, throw and pass the Dragonballs in teams to score goals.
There are 7 Dragonballs in every game and when a Dragonball is in a goal it stays there until all the Dragonballs have been scored in goals. Every game has a winner.
Dragonball is a sport for everyone. It’s for all ages and all abilities. There’s no “you’re not good enough”, “you can’t play”, “we don’t want you on our team”.
It’s all inclusive and a great way to keep active, fit and healthy, to make friends and work together to score goals and win games.

Dragon Talks In Schools
The journey writing the Sammy Rambles series has been full of ups and downs. It has been an adventure starting with a pen and a piece of paper, through to publishing and promoting the books around the world.
I’ve created a series of Dragon Talks and Writing Workshops to share my experiences and help inspire children in their writing. In the sessions everyone is encouraged to create their own story with memorable characters, layers of detail and inventive plots.
Dragon Talks and Writing Workshops are available for schools, libraries and clubs with tailored content suitable for children from Year 1 to Year 11 (KS1, KS2, KS3) either as a full school assembly or class sessions.

“Thank you so much for coming over, sharing your work and inspiring our children. I know the visit was a huge success from our point of view and both children and staff, from both the British and Canadian Schools, loved the experience.” Mr Jens Niedzwiedzki, Acting Headteacher, The British Section, SHAPE International School.
“I just need to let you know that our children are currently playing ‘Dragonball’ in their PE lesson! They are having so much fun using space hoppers as their dragons. What an inspiration you have been.” – Ruby & Sapphire Classes. All Saints Primary School, Bishops Caundle, Dorset.
“Jenny came to visit our vibrant Year 4 class of 37 pupils and had them truly engaged with her stories. It was thoroughly enjoyable to have Jenny share her writing tips and enthral our students with extracts from the books. The children relished the chance to write their own dragon stories, based on the adventures portrayed in Sammy Rambles and now they can’t stop talking about dragons! Thank you Jenny, please come again.” Rowan Class. Elmhurst Junior School, Street, Somerset.
